Fubo is pricy compared to other streamers at $74.99/month, but does offer a free 7-day trial, and has a similar channel lineup to old-school cable and satellite.

Peacock has exclusive EPL games, so it’s possible Man United-NUFC could end up on the service and nowhere else.

ESPN+ (for your English Cup fix) is $10.99/month, or $109.99 if you go in annually. The Disney Bundle will save you a bit of money if you’d also like Disney+ and Hulu, for $14.99/month.

History of the Man United vs Newcastle rivalry

Manchester United has always been a massive club, arguably the biggest and most popular English side. Newcastle has a passionate local following but did not challenge for major honors for many years until very recently.

The Saudi-led takeover of Newcastle has vaulted the Magpies into contention. They made a domestic cup final for the first time since 1999 in the form of the 2023 League Cup (where they lost to Manchester United). Their 4th place finish in 2022-2023 was their best in the EPL in over a decade and sent them to their first Champions League in 20 years.

This sets up a near future where games between the two clubs will be significantly bigger affairs than in years past.

This is because, despite both being clubs from England’s northern regions, they each have bigger main rivals. Newcastle’s big archenemies are Sunderland and Middlesbrough, while MUFC’s fixtures with Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Leeds have more historic importance to their fans.

But with a revitalized Newcastle, and Manchester suffering (by their high standards anyway) a drought in success over the last decade or so, things should heat up between the two in the coming seasons.
